How to Catch Javier
Once the investigation has established that Javier is the thief, proceed to the archive area. The questioning part is quite easy to do compared to the final part. When the confrontation starts, defeat and capture Javier.
Then guide him back to the specified area just outside the institute plaza. There will be one scholar there. Take Javier to the scholar to finish the last goal. Once this is done, the Contradiction quest comes to an end. It’s a rewarding ending, and it’s nice to be rewarded for reading the story, rather than just killing enemies.
Contradiction Quest Reward
The mission will give you the Kinetic Dolphin Family Statue. This is mainly an accessory to decorate your camp. It does not offer much combat benefit, but it is a good reminder of completing the investigation.
The item can also be sold for silver for players who aren’t fond of the camp decoration. Most importantly, you can continue the Weight of Knowledge storyline and wrap up the mystery of the stolen book when you complete the mission.
