The quest to locate the Frostcursed Plate Helm
My journey began at Chattering Rocks, an ancient ruined area within Demeniss. As I was poking around the ruins, I saw a wall full of big vines. It appeared as though it was a part of the landscape at first, but there was something weird about it.
The vines were set ablaze with the Blinding Flash ability, opening up a secret room behind the wall. The Frostcursed Plate Helm was in a treasure chest inside. A rewarding find, and it was clear that careful exploration would be rewarded all through this hunt. The helm is an excellent piece of armour and the first step to the formidable set.
Locating the Frostcursed Plate Armour
The chest piece proved to be more challenging to obtain. It is found within the Mistshard Cave, near the Smoking Lands in northern Demeniss.
My first glimpse of the cave was of a waterfall cascading down the side of the rocks. I was well familiar with the fact by now that many waterfalls hide secrets. The Stab ability was used to navigate through the water and discover an unseen passage.
But there was still a big rock barrier blocking the path. I then destroyed the obstacle with Force Palm and entered a secret room with a treasure chest. In the middle was the Frostcursed Plate Armor. This piece offers some of the best defensive bonuses in the pack and great cold-weather survivability.
The Frostcursed Boots were discovered
In the northeast of Demeniss, there is a Well of Tragedy along with the Frostcursed Boots. There are rivers, cliffs, and hidden caves that can be overlooked by players on the main story.
Searching near the Denn River, I can locate yet another waterfall amongst the rocks. Since the previous discoveries, I adopted the Stab ability to swim through water.
There was a little cave with a treasure chest behind the waterfall. It opened and gave me the Frostcursed Plate Boots! These boots are not just about added protection; they also enable players to navigate through hazardous surroundings with greater confidence.
Getting the Frostcursed Gloves
The following piece took me to the Lunar Spirit Grotto, northwest of Tariv. This enigmatic cave system is packed with concealed paths and concealed corners.
Another waterfall, which partially obscured a passage, was near the entrance. Crossing over it was a narrow path that went further into the grotto. The hidden path led to a treasure chest, waiting to be opened.
The Frostcursed Plate Gloves were inside. While not as large as other armour pieces, they still offer some great protection and offer a high chance of getting the full set of armour pieces.
A quest to locate the Frostcursed Plate Cloak
The last one is part of the ancient ruins of the Sanctum of Expiation in northern Demeniss. There are some enemies in the structure, but the difficult task is to know what the secrets of this are. Upon arrival at the middle part of a ruin, I found a trail that went into a basement section.
Beneath the building, there were red spiked roots that obstructed a secret door. Blinding Flash burnt away the roots and opened up a small tunnel. The Frostcursed Plate Cloak was inside a treasure chest at the end of this tunnel. The whole Frostcursed Armour package was now finished with the addition of the cloak.
Why the Frostcursed Armour Is Worth Getting
The Frostcursed Armour is unique in that it offers some of the best defence, coupled with some valuable ice resistance. Once a player starts putting on all of the pieces (when he is in snowy areas), he will feel the difference right away.
The armour-grinding is just as rewarding an activity in Crimson Desert, but also useful in the game. Each item is like a real find instead of a quest reward. Players are given the chance to think about what they see around them, go off the beaten path and try their luck finding hidden treasures in the game. This armour set is definitely worth it for anyone who will be spending any time in Demeniss.
