Crimson Desert All Hairstyles Guide

Crimson Desert All Hairstyles Guide: Crimson Desert offers more possibilities of customisation than many people realise if they enjoy making their game character feel unique. Although there is no character creation system in the game, you can at least personalise the looks of the three characters in the game with hairstyles, beard styles, tattoos, customisation of the eyebrows and dyes to the armour.

The only problem is that they don’t have these features right from the start. You will have to finish the story before unlocking the Barber Shop and Dyehouse. After unlocking, you can re-create your character’s looks anytime you like without impacting gameplay.

No Character Creator, But Plenty of Style Choices

Crimson Desert does not have a character creation screen, as many modern RPGs do. Players, however, have to play through the story with 3 pre-set characters:

  • Kliff
  • Damiane
  • Oongka

Their physique, their voice and their face are unchangeable. In Pearl Abyss, however, players can tweak a few cosmetic aspects that will make each hero feel more personal.

These include:

  • Hairstyles
  • Hair colors
  • Beard styles (Male characters)
  • Eyebrows
  • Face tattoos
  • Body tattoos
  • Armor colors
  • Horse and equipment dyes

What is great about this is that none of the changes impact combat, character stats, or any other aspect of the game, so players can customise freely without worrying about performance.

How to Unlock the Barber Shop

Immediately after game start, the Barber Shop is not available. The Greymane Faction story must be completed before players can play the other missions.

To unlock it:

  • Complete the Gathered Will quest line.
  • Construct the necessary farm and ranch.
  • Complete missions with Kamu and Ben.
  • Send your team to Howling Hill.
  • Finish the Solid Foundation storyline.
  • Finish A Rumour at the Inksworth Bindery quest.

Once these goals are met, Eric can open the Barber Shop inside the Greymane Camp to allow all three characters to change their looks as desired.

We offer a variety of styles and customisations for Kliff Hairstyles.

Kliff will get the biggest confirmed hairstyle line in the game.

  • Available Features
  • Six unique hairstyles
  • A variety of natural and beautiful hair colours
  • Multiple beard styles
  • Adjustable eyebrows
  • Face tattoos
  • Body tattoos

The biggest visual change is Kliff’s beard customisation. He looks a little bit different with a full beard, but when he’s clean shaven, he’s the same guy, just a different personality.

If you prefer to go a little off the beaten path, you can try using bright colours like blue, green and purple.

Damiane Hairstyle Options

Each character has their own unique hairstyle set which is exclusive to them.

Her customisation includes:

  • Dedicated hairstyles
  • Hair color options
  • Eyebrow customization
  • Face tattoos
  • Body tattoos

In the case of a female protagonist like Damiane, of course, the option for beard customisation does not exist.

Players can style their Damiane to suit their own likings, as they switch to Damiane prior to interacting with Eric at the Barber Shop.

Oongka Offers the Most Tattoo Variety

Oongka stands out thanks to his impressive tattoo system.

His customisation options are:

  • Unique hairstyles
  • Beard styles
  • Hair colors
  • Eyebrow options
  • More than 13 face tattoos confirmed
  • Invisible body tattoos

By revealing more of his upper torso than the other characters, body tattoos are more noticeable during gameplay for Oongka. If you like to make a very aggressive “warrior” look, Oongka will be your best option.

The Dyehouse Adds Even More Personalisation

This is just one aspect of Crimson Desert’s appearance system.

Re-colour in the Dyehouse:

  • Character armor
  • Weapons
  • Horse equipment
  • War Robot paint

Before hairstyles are available, the Dyehouse opens to players much sooner than the Barber Shop, allowing them to customise equipment in advance of hairstyles.

There are several ways to get a dye:

  • Crafting
  • Vendors
  • World exploration

After using a dye from your inventory, it is always available for use in future at any Dyehouse.

Preparing for the Customisation: Useful Tips

Use the following helpful hints:

  • Early visit to the Dyehouse to tailor armour before unlocking the Barber Shop.
  • Before talking with Eric, make sure you switch to a playable character.
  • Always check appearance changes before confirming.
  • When you travel, pick up dye bottles; they’ll always let you create new colours.

Players can use these simple tips to optimise the cosmetic system of the game from the start.

Should Crimson Desert’s Customisation be worth it?

Crimson Desert All Hairstyles Guide
Crimson Desert All Hairstyles Guide

Crimson Desert is an impressive game in terms of cosmetics, given its lack of a traditional character creator. While each character is unique, there are also options available for players to express their unique personality in the form of hairstyles, tattoos, beards, and colourful equipment.

The other big plus is that the customisation system is purely based on gameplay and not cosmetic packs. Earning hairstyles, dyes, and appearance options is through exploration and progression rather than microtransactions.

Unlocking the Barber Shop requires a few hours, but once the character has unlocked it, the multitude of choices after the event is worth the time and effort for fans who enjoy character customisation.
